Awish innovations was born from first hand experience. As a frontline paramedic, Awad experienced the physical toll of repetitive patient transfers, motivating him to partner with Hisham a mechanical engineer. Together, they combine frontline healthcare expertise with mechanical engineering to develop practical technologies that solve real challenges in healthcare.
Awad is a Primary Care Paramedic with the City of Toronto who has experienced firsthand the repetitive strain injuries associated with patient transfers. Driven by his out-of-the-box thinking and passion for innovation, he co-founded Awish Innovations to develop a safer, more sustainable, and efficient approach to transferring supine patients laterally from one adjacent surface to another.
Hisham is a Mechanical Engineer driven by a desire to use his education and expertise to make a meaningful impact on society. He co-founded Awish Innovations, a company dedicated to developing meaningful tools that improve the safety, efficiency, and everyday lives of healthcare workers.
